Beneficiary Eligibility Policy
This policy sets out the criteria, verification process, and fairness rules that determine who can receive a ₦2,000 micro-grant through Urgent2k, operated by Excella Digital Limited.

1. Core Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for an Urgent2k disbursement, you must meet all of the following:
- Age — you must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
- Residency — you must be a resident of Nigeria.
- Identity verification — you must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) that matches your registered details.
- Receiving account — you must hold a Nigerian bank account or supported mobile wallet (e.g., OPay, PalmPay, Moniepoint, Kuda) capable of receiving instant NIP transfers.
- Cooldown compliance — at least thirty (30) calendar days must have elapsed since your last successful disbursement.
2. Identity Verification Process
Your NIN is verified against authorised national identity databases. The name, date of birth, and phone number must match your registration details.
A one-time code (OTP) is sent to the phone number linked to your NIN to confirm possession.
We collect a non-invasive device fingerprint to detect multiple accounts operating from the same device — a common fraud signal.
We perform a name-match check between your verified identity and the account name at your bank to prevent misdirected funds.
3. The 30-Day Cooldown Rule
After a successful disbursement, your account enters a 30-day cooldown period. During this time, new requests are automatically declined. The cooldown is system-enforced and cannot be overridden by support staff.
If you attempt to request during cooldown, the system will show your remaining wait time. There is no penalty — the attempt simply does not proceed. Your timer is not extended.
4. Priority Signals
When demand exceeds available pool funds, requests may be prioritised based on urgency signals. These are system-assessed and include:
- Essential transport — fare to work, school, or medical appointments.
- Food & nutrition — immediate food needs.
- Health — prescriptions, clinic visits, basic diagnostics.
- Safety — short-distance relocation, power, or connectivity for safety reasons.
- Data / airtime — critical communication needs (e.g., job interview calls, emergency contacts).
Priority assessment is automated. No individual staff member decides who receives funds. All eligible requests are served as pool funds allow.
5. Disqualification & Permanent Bans
You will be disqualified or permanently banned from Urgent2k if:
- You create multiple accounts using different identities or devices to circumvent the cooldown.
- You provide a fraudulent NIN or bank account.
- You use automated tools or bots to submit requests.
- You sell or transfer access to your account or disbursement.
- You engage in any activity designed to exploit or defraud the platform.
Bans are enforced at the identity level (NIN) and device level. Banned individuals may be reported to relevant authorities.
6. Appeals
If you believe your request was incorrectly declined or your account was wrongly suspended, you may appeal by emailing help@excelladigital.com with:
- Your registered email or phone number.
- A brief explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect.
- Any supporting information.
Appeals are reviewed by a human within 48 hours. The decision following review is final.
7. No Proxy Applications
You may not apply on behalf of another person. The verified identity must match the recipient of the funds. If someone you know needs help, share the Urgent2k app so they can apply directly.
8. Programme Changes
Excella Digital reserves the right to modify eligibility criteria, cooldown periods, disbursement amounts, or priority signals at any time. Changes will be communicated via in-app notification and updated on this page. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised criteria.
